I Thought Earning More Would Fix Everything

Hey hey,

When I finally started making more money, I swore things would finally be different.

I could finally breathe. I could finally stop stressing about money. I could finally take my daughter on the vacation I’d been dreaming about.

But instead of peace, I felt pressure.

The bills still piled up. The guilt was heavier. And my money shame? It just got more expensive.

I was spending to escape, swiping to numb, and avoiding my bank account like it was holding my secrets hostage. And even though I knew better—I still felt stuck.

Until I started asking better questions.

Not, “How do I make more?”
But, “What does
enough feel like?”
Not, “What’s wrong with me?”
But, “What story am I carrying about money, and who taught me that?”

That’s when everything shifted.

Now, as a licensed therapist and financial counselor, I teach other high-achieving professionals how to stop the self-blame and start building aligned wealth—without shame, sacrifice, or perfection.

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
My weekly newsletter is for you.

Every week, I send real stories, mindset tools, and financial healing strategies that help you build a relationship with money that actually feels good.

Because you don’t just deserve wealth.

You deserve peace with it.

With gratitude,

LaQueshia

Wealth and Wisdom Monday's Debt is not a moral failure. It’s just a math problem with feelings attached. Here’s what I mean: owing money doesn’t say a thing about your worth, discipline, or character. It simply reflects numbers on a page. Butttt, the feelings (shame, fear, guilt) are what make it feel heavier than it really is. Shame is heavy, friends. And it can’t pay a single bill. Dollars and Sense Last week, a woman slid into my DMs, “I want to join your program, but I’m too embarrassed…...

Wealth and Wisdom Monday's This week, I want you to remember: You don’t have to hustle to prove your worth. Your value is not in how many hours you grind, how much you make, or how many things you check off your list. You are worthy simply because you exist. Dollars and Sense Last week, I had a client who kept apologizing for “not doing enough” with her finances. She makes six figures, has a solid savings cushion, and yet. . . the guilt was loud. We unpacked where that voice came from. Turns...

Ever argued about whether streaming subscriptions are a "real expense"? Or awkwardly split a dinner check with your partner at a table full of people? Yep! Money and relationships go together like Venmo and vibes (sometimes messy ones). But what if your finances could actually bring you closer as a couple? In our latest blog, we’re talking about financial intimacy. The kind that goes deeper than spreadsheets and might just change the way you communicate, connect, and co-budget. Ready to stop...
