You’re Allowed to Want More

Wealth and Wisdom
Monday's

Desire is not a dirty word. It’s your soul pointing toward more.

Here’s what I mean: wanting more doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful. It means you believe you’re worthy of expansion.

Dollars and Sense

I’ll be real with you. . . the first time I said out loud that I wanted more, the guilt hit me quick. More space. More freedom. More ease.

And immediately my inner voice whispered: “Girl, shouldn’t you just be grateful for what you already have?”

A client once told me the same thing. She wanted a bigger house but felt like even admitting it was selfish. Like desire canceled out her gratitude.

But here’s the truth: gratitude and desire aren’t enemies. They’re sisters. Gratitude says, “thank you.” Desire says, “I’m ready for more.”

Both can sit at the same table. Both are valid. And wanting more doesn’t make you ungrateful. It makes you ready.

Start with a “more list.” Write down every single thing you secretly desire (the house, the trip, the rest, the freedom) without worrying about whether it’s “practical.”

Because naming your desire is the first step to claiming it. Then, pick just one thing to start planning for. Little steps toward “more” add up faster than you think.

Wealth and Wisdom Monday's You can't heal what you cannot name. Here’s what I mean: That lump in your throat when you open your bank app isn’t “just nerves.” It’s your body remembering when money meant danger or shame. Money anxiety is old alarms still ringing. When you name it (“balance panic,” “bill dread,” “bank app avoidance”) you stop running and say, “I see you. Dollars and Sense A few months ago, I was sitting across from a client who hadn’t checked her account in weeks. She was...
