Your Emergency Fund is Self-Care

Wealth and Wisdom
Monday's

Security is powerful. Nothing feels better than knowing you're covered.

Here’s what I mean: true peace of mind is a form of wealth. Building an emergency fund isn’t just smart, it’s one of the most loving, grounding things you can do for yourself.

Dollars and Sense

The first time I saved $1,000 for emergencies, I thought it would just feel like another number in the bank.

But it didn’t. It felt like an exhale. Like my shoulders dropped. Like my body finally believed, “I got me.”

I’ve seen the same shift with clients. One told me she slept through the night for the first time in months after she built her safety net.

Because an emergency fund isn’t just money in an account. It’s peace in your body. It’s proof that future you is already protected.

Don’t wait until you “can do more.” Start with something small and consistent. Even $25 a week. Send it straight into a separate emergency account.

Every transfer is like telling your nervous system: we’re safe, we’re secure, we’ve got us. The dollar amount matters less than the habit of protecting your peace.

Your Next Move:

Feeling stuck in your money flow?

The Financial Clarity Session is a one-time, 60-minute deep dive to help you reset, refocus, and finally see where your money’s going. Walk away with a personalized 30-day plan and the confidence to move forward.

Hit reply and tell me: how much would make you feel safe in your emergency fund. No “right” answers. Just what safety feels like for you.

I read and respond to every message personally!

Until next time,

Wealth and Wisdom Monday's You can't heal what you cannot name. Here’s what I mean: That lump in your throat when you open your bank app isn’t “just nerves.” It’s your body remembering when money meant danger or shame. Money anxiety is old alarms still ringing. When you name it (“balance panic,” “bill dread,” “bank app avoidance”) you stop running and say, “I see you. Dollars and Sense A few months ago, I was sitting across from a client who hadn’t checked her account in weeks. She was...
